FUNERAL HOME ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS
KARATE PATE` 3: THE VERNAL SEASON
|
|
2002
TRT: 13:00
Action/Comedy
TMR: 1
Returning to the continuing adventures of Master Beta-Quan, this one picks up where part 2 left off. Beta is still wishing for the blood of the arena, the rush of confrontation. Lost in thought, he wanders down the sidewalk. That's when a mysterious stranger bumps into him, and a fight begins! Jonason Ho makes his return to the producer / director / writer / editor game, and, as he puts it, "this film has a twist ending that's so shocking you'll piss your pants."

This is the first film I edited using my home PC. God bless Adobe Premiere. One thing I love about working from home is that I don't have to wear pants. I mean, come on, who the fuck can edit a movie with pants on? I sure can't.I remember I was really bummed out on the day we shot this. I was hungry and I spent my last $15 on food I didn't get to eat -- they were destroyed in the process of making this movie. I guess it was all very ironic. Special thanks to Erin Abrogast's grandma for letting us film on her property. -Jonason Ho
*P.S. I like Bravado. I think any word contains the word "bra" is a good word.

CUTTING ROOM FLOOR

Once again, the script varied somewhat from the finished movie. Though not as drastic as part 2, there were some touches (cutting in random stock footage, an extended playground fight, etc.) that were dropped in the end.
