COMMENTARY
This was our very first lightsaber battle, and something that had been a long time coming. Jackson and I actually planned out a fight scene back in the high school days for Hamlet, but he wasn't able to shoot it before he left. We got a second chance and made the most of it. Naturally, in the context of the more recent work, this movie is somewhat lacking technically, but I'll always look on it fondly as our first fight scene that didn't completely suck.

ON-SET DISASTERS
As it was the first lightsaber battle, accidents were bound to happen. The funniest of which was probably Jackson getting struck in the ear by a flying lightsaber after pretending to cut Alan's hand off.
