This was the very first of the film festival series, and the most controversial episode of the show. In it, Alan and Carrie are presenting movies, but things take a turn when Chrissy comes by with the movie she and Katy produced: Doin' the Spice. Check the download section below for more information on that. Anyway, Shawn and Sasha from Northwest Morose come by, angry at Alan for 'aping their gig'. They take back their tapes, and recruit Chrissy and Carrie away to their show.

It's funny.... for all the controversy it caused, this wasn't a very good episode. We had a lot of first-timers on camera, so some of the shots aren't really up to par. But the movies presented were good. Deady Bear III and Pancake Angst are still among my all time favorites....-Alan Winston
