Vanilla, or 'Rob', as we're now allowed to call him (heh, how cool is that), really did do an episode of Delusions of Grandeur. We arranged for an interview and drove up to Portland to tape his Memorial Day 1998 show. And since so many people ask what he was like: Rob was actually a really nice guy, very accomodating to us and answered all our questions. Seemed to have a pretty healthy perspective on everything he had been through. And he stuck around after the interview to sign autographs for the crew and give us some promo 8x10s. As one of the many recurring references that came up over the run of the show, it was great to have the real thing there for an episode.
